Andrew County Has No Fixed Blotter
The Andrew County Sheriff's site offers no arrest blotter. No page carries a 72-hour, weekly, or monthly label. Its current inmate roster does have pagination, sort controls, date search, and older cards. The county promises no complete lookback window, though. The press-release area carries no running arrest stories either.
That means a multi-day search has to respect source boundaries. A roster card is a jail record. A patrol roundup is a news account. An unofficial mirror is a saved copy with its own update habits. Merging those rows into one total would count unlike events. It could also count the same arrest twice.
Andrew County Report Sources Compared
Start any arrest-log review with the official county channel. Add news or secondary pages only for context. Save the access date for every source, since a displayed date might mean booking time, release time, a report period, or the publisher's own update time. Labels vary that much.
| Source | Window and meaning | Authority |
|---|---|---|
| Current inmate roster | Displayed current custody with booking timestamps; lookback not promised | Official Andrew County source |
| 48 Hour Release | Displayed recent releases; not a new-booking feed | Official Andrew County source |
| Agency report or daily log | Incident or arrest record held by the agency that made it | Official record by request |
| Savannah Reporter | Weekly general news, not a complete arrest list | Independent newspaper |
| KTTN patrol roundup | Irregular multi-county narrative covering several days | Regional news summary |
| County mirror | Publisher-defined history and update claims | Unofficial discovery lead |
Current custody, recent release, and an old booking are not interchangeable labels. The Andrew County Detention Center may even hold a person for another jurisdiction. Note the arresting agency on the official profile first. Call it an Andrew County enforcement event only then.
Read Andrew County Arrest Reports
Read each line as one source's claim. It is not a full case history. Establish the page type and its date first. Then match the person through a booking number or several identity fields. Follow the record to court when the later details matter.
- Begin with the official roster and separate current entries from the release view.
- Record the booking number, booking date and time, arresting agency, charges, and custody label.
- Search older roster groups or date controls without assuming the result set is a full archive.
- Compare news and unofficial records by their own dates, never by one combined count.
- Request the agency report when the web window no longer carries the needed entry.
Need more than a few days of entries? The Andrew County recent arrests hub walks through roster fields, booking photos, warrants, and court follow-through for the whole county. For only the newest names, use Arrested Today.
Note: A booking time is not always the arrest time, article date, web-posting time, release time, or final court date.
Andrew County Log Entry Fields
The official profile gives the fullest field set: name, booking number, booking date and time, age, gender, race, arresting agency, charges, bond, photo, and profile URL. The 48 Hour Release view adds a release date. These fields cover one custody stage only. Charges and bail can both shift after court appearances. The sheriff directs readers to the detention center for current amounts, case numbers, and charge details.
- Booking
- The jail intake process and record, which may occur after the arrest itself.
- Bond
- A release condition set in the case; a displayed amount can change and is not a sentence.
- Disposition
- The later court outcome, such as dismissal, plea, acquittal, or conviction.
- Custody state
- The source’s label for current, released, transferred, or another known status.
A secondary page can borrow the same labels without being an official record. Match it back to the sheriff and Missouri Case.net. A missing photo proves nothing. Andrew County does publish some roster photographs. Yet it offers no written rule. Nothing promises that every image stays online.
Weekly Andrew Arrest News Cycle
Missouri's official directory lists the Savannah Reporter as a weekly Thursday newspaper. It runs no dedicated live arrest section. Treat its stories as general county reporting. A Thursday publication date promises neither that every prior-week arrest appears nor that an unreported arrest failed to happen.
KTTN's regional news category periodically posts North Missouri Highway Patrol roundups. Those reports can span several days. Expect names, ages, counties, arrest times, charges cited, holding agencies, and release or summons details. They are not Andrew-only jail logs. A patrol item may end in a summons or release and never show up on the Andrew County jail roster. The KTTN roundup shows the narrative, date-range format.
The page shows a news report rather than an official Andrew County booking roster or custody list.
Unofficial Andrew County Report Mirrors
Unofficial sites follow their own collection rules. Busted Newspaper keeps an Andrew County section with deep pagination and fields like name, age, booking time, arresting agency, charge, and image. RecentlyBooked describes a recent county window. It also displays its own update timestamp. Mugshots.com keeps a separate Andrew index whose count changes over time. None comes from Andrew County government. A Busted Newspaper detail page shows how a secondary publisher restates booking fields and adds its own disclaimer.
Treat a mirror card as a lead only. Verify anything it shows with the sheriff, the arresting agency, or the court before relying on it. Missouri Arrests.org offers a statewide search but no Andrew-local county option. JailExchange supplies a county guide, not a live feed. The county-named Public Jail Records page has unclear provenance and cadence. None of them can establish current custody.
Note: A mirror may keep an entry after the official roster changes, so its presence shows publication, not present confinement.
No Verified Andrew Arrest Trend
Andrew County publishes no annual booking total. The roster count only reflects who is in custody right now. It is not a yearly figure. Unofficial sites tally their own snapshots. Their numbers shift with collection periods and retention choices. A news roundup covers just the incidents a reporter chose to include. None of these can chart a real county trend line.
A crowded weekend page does not prove a surge either. Many things shape what appears on a given day. Transport timing, data entry, transfer arrivals, delayed reporting, and releases all play a part. Compare only records that share the same definition and period, and cite that period. When a true statistical series is needed, request it from the agency. Do not add up figures from unrelated web pages.
Request Older Andrew Arrest Records
The web roster is not an archive. Older Andrew County arrests take a direct request. Call the Andrew County Sheriff's Office & Jail at 816-324-4114, or use the official contact route. Mail works too: 400 East Main, Savannah, MO 64485. The office lists no dedicated request form, named custodian, set booking-photo fee, or promised turnaround. Ask that your request reach the records custodian, and get a cost estimate first.
Be specific. Include the full name and booking number if known. Add a date range, the arresting agency, and the exact items you want. An arrest report, booking sheet, release record, and photo are separate records. If another agency made the arrest, that agency may hold the report. Andrew County may still have held the person. Missouri's Sunshine Law response provision requires action as soon as possible. That action generally comes by the close of the third business day. Otherwise you should get a detailed explanation of any reasonable delay.
Missouri's sheriff retention schedule lists SHF 006 arrest records. That class covers arrest logs, files, registers, fingerprints, and booking sheets. Those are kept at least five years. Five years does not promise a web photo stays online that long. Holds tied to a request, investigation, or proceeding can also change the normal disposition.
Andrew County Historical Report Paths
Older files sometimes sit beyond the sheriff's reach. Newspapers and state archives can fill the gap. The State Historical Society's Andrew County directory lists long-running papers, including the Savannah Reporter and Andrew County Democrat. Search by name, issue range, "Savannah," and "Andrew County," since an article may be filed by place, court, or agency. News prose is no substitute for a booking sheet.
One more stop is narrower than it looks. The Missouri State Archives corrections photograph collection holds historical state-prison material, not a routine archive of current Andrew County jail photographs.
State corrections history and county jail records are different things. The right repository depends on that split.
